WELCOME! Suppose citizens could interact with their city in a new way, using tools to create visions of what their city would look and how it should work. Isn’t that worth a couple of days of effort? FutureBOSTON@Mashupcamp is an experiment in bottom-up, user generated visualization. The objective is to use the power of maps, 3D graphics and the Web to demonstrate ideas that are otherwise difficult to imagine, helping residents participate in the life of their city and neighborhoods in entirely new ways. At the core of this effort is the notion that applications can be written that help envision new opportunities based information from sources on the Web in a way that speeds decision making and improves the quality of life. Join us at MashupCamp. Bring your experience and inspiration. Download our data, play with our tools and share with your friends to make Boston a better place. |
